Local artists of far east Dallas have consolidated the “Art in the Hood Studio Tour” this year to create a new, one-stop art event that will take place Sunday, March 20th, from 10-6 at BA Glassworks studio. Along with the original artists who comprised the tour – Brad & Laura Abrams, Roy Cirigliana, Mark Epstein and Nancy Thompson, there will be 30+ local artists from an array of diverse disciplines displaying their art. Glass-blowing demonstrations by Deanne Eskeridge, Chris Lake and Brad Abrams will be continuous throughout the day, as well as raku demos with Randy Brodnax, and on-site painting demonstrations from Steve Herndon, Kelsey Kincannon, and Dan & Cathryn Colcer. Additionally, Karen Weiss will be present to do face painting for the kids, and offer henna tattoos. Live music will accompany this event with performances by Dallas’s own Joe Tucker and The Lonesome Losers.
